charater sketch: The trip with my Aunt Malia

                   Camilla 10/11/11

The best time I’ve ever had with my aunt Malia was when I went to Willow creek where her and her husband live.  I think it was at the end of last summer, me, my sister, my two brothers, my dads girlfriend, and my dad, who's my aunts brother, all went up there for about two days to celebrate her husband Josh’s birthday.  It was really fun.
The first night we were there we made a little fire down at the river and we used it to make some food.  I think it was some pesto noodles we brought down from my aunts house, some toasted bread with garlic and butter on it, some yummy berry pie Malia made, and then we had a few marshmallows afterword.  It was all really good.
We staid down at the river until we all got tired then we went up to go to sleep in  their cool loft.
In the morning I woke up and my aunt was making some tasty breakfast for us.  After we ate at the table together, my aunt, her husband, my dad, and his girlfriend, went to work outside in the little garden.  Then me and my siblings went down to the river to get in the sun and go for a swim.  We had big inner tubes that we went on, and we would start from were the rapids weren't as big and we would ride down the river.  It was so fun, me and my big brother did it a million times over and over.
A little later we all drove to where the river started way up the road, where every one else swam.  We took out a red little boat canoe thing and the big inner tubes and started down the river.  This took a really long time, because the inner tubes weren't fast at all and either was the boat that you had to paddle with.  We were all starting to get cold because it wasn't sunny where we were any more.  But it was okay because we were really close to being where the trail was to the house, so we could get home and be all worm and cosy.
When we got back we ate dinner and went to bed.  Well not really but I don't want to type it all down.  We either left the night before, or we left in the morning which I think we did, but I can not really remember.  But when we left we packed our stuff said goodbye and headed out the door.  Then we put our things in the car and got ourselves in our car, then we were ready to go.
This trip was so fun and I kept wanting to go up there again but we still haven't bean able to.  I hope we do some time soon.

Feelings poeple go through

Happiness is like a smiling child playing by the river on a warm day

Depression is like a sad old dog waiting on the porch for someone to come home, even though nobody comes.

Friendliness is like giving someone you know a nice gentle hug when you see them.

Sadness is like a lonely puppy dog pouting with a smile upside down for delicious lasagna

Thirst is like a half asleep kid wanting to,  but is to tired to get out of bed and get a glass of water to drink

Laughter is like a smiling mouse eating yummy cupcakes squeaking with joy
Favorite Poem Response

I think that the poem, The Sloth, that Katherine Mechling, the fifth grader girl wrote is very good.
I like how she made it so that every last word would rhyme with the one above.  It was very poetic.
I also like the part at the end where she said, ”Then off again to sleep he goes, Still swaying gently by his Toes, And you just know he knows he knows.”  The reason I like this part is because of the words she uses, swaying, gently, toes, knows, and sleep; they fit the poem.

vs poem F,Q; vs poem

Funny, fluttering, filthy, frisky fairy-like flamingos with flapping feathers, freely playing frisbee while eating their favorite, frosty, fresh, fruity food from flamingo “Friends Forever” fantasy fun land, and fabulous, fantabulace, fantastic Florida. VS queasy quails quacking quite quietly on a quilt in quire, and quickly quizzing themselves but wanting to quit.

Fat sumo wrestlers wearing pink bathing suites, with purple and green colored spiked up hair, in the chlorine blue pool, on a bright summer day, playing with razor sharp teeth devil barbies who will kill anyone who comes near them, except for  their lovely sumo wrestler owners  vs a pack of rib showing wimpy wolves eating red ants in their giant sumo wrestler eating giant human robots, playing with angel teddy bears

Fire

Things people do when there’s a fire in their house:

Freak out and run out your front door
Injure yourself by jumping out your window
Read a book and don't pay any attention then get burned
Eat your mom’s special chocolates until you feel the heat of the fire then run through a glass door
   ...
Hide behind your bed till the cops find you
   Empty your mind and meditate
Let your little brother scream and cry so the neighbors call the police
Pee your pants from being so scared

Make up a story when the police come, saying that you didn't start the fire(only if you did start the    fire)
Enjoy the day cause you know your gonna die

I am a nice and sometimes quiet person
I wonder why there has to be war in this world
I hear the classroom door creak open
I see our world changing every day
I want to have a lot more friends
I am a nice and sometimes quiet person

I pretend to be a different person when I'm with curtain people
I feel that life is passing me bye very quickly
I touch the green leaves of a very tall tree
I worry about 2012, sometimes I believe things will happen to the world in 2012
I cry when someone or something that I love dies
I am a nice and sometimes quiet person

I understand whats going on in the world
I say that I don't like school and I do, but I just don't like homework
I dream of building a candy factory

I try to be a better person toward my family
I am a nice and sometimes quiet person

lake tahoe lake

this summer me and my sister went to see my grandma in lake Tahoe.  One day me and my sister went down to the lake, to swim, we swam for a long time and we also jumped off the dock, that was very fun.  When we got there it was very hot, I wanted to go swimming so bad, so I did, I went in the water with my  water was still pretty cold since it was still early in the afternoon.  the water was so pretty it was clear blueish green and as you swam deeper it got darker and darker blue.  There were many rock, all pretty big, the sand wasn't like the sand in Humboldt, every grain of sand was like a miniature big crystal.  The sun was shining right on the beach, so we had to be careful not to get sun burnt, but we did.
